½cupchopped strawberries, approximately 4 large strawberries
1tablespoonsugar, or sweetener of your choice
1tablespoonwater
Good grind of black pepper
4leaveslarge basil, sliced into fine ribbonss
Instructions
Blend strawberries, sugar, water and black pepper until smooth.
Stir sliced basil through the strawberry mixture. .
Spoon a little puree into the bottom of a champagne flute, then top with sparkling wine.
Notes
I used this quantity of puree generously across four cocktails, but you could be a bit more sparing with it and easily serve six. If you plan to serve lots, multiply the recipe accordingly.
